I currently live in North Carolina with my husband Alex and four fur-children. I travel worldwide to tell stories and capture life’s sweetest moments, people and details. I am a destination photographer and travel for 90% of my work.
My goal is to use my training and experience as a photojournalist to authentically document & tell your story. Your moments, you and your loved ones and your special and personal details. I promise to make you feel comfortable in front of my camera and to customize your session experience to make it unique to you.
I have a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from Penn State and have interned for BRIDES Magazine, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and The Charlotte Observer. I am currently a part-time staff photographer at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be sent to locations around the United States by my clients including Albuquerque, Portland, New York City, Charlotte, San Francisco, Austin, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Raleigh and Washington D.C. I have photographed internationally in Canada and Brazil.
My work has been published on The New York Times Lens Blog (Letting Go of a Baby, but Not the Emotions and Duty, Honor, Gay Marriage) and in Marie Claire AU. My work has appeared on TIME Magazine’s website via The Associated Press wire and in McClatchy publications nationwide.
Outside of being passionate about photography I also enjoy cooking, gardening, thrifting and a pipin’ hot cup of tea. I love, love, love to travel. There’s no place too small, big, near or far.
I take a limited amount of wedding, lifestyle & photojournalism work each year. Please contact me if you’re interested in having your story, moment, loved ones and special details documented.
