Amanda & David had their downtown Raleigh engagement session planned for what the forecast was calling to be a rainy Monday. But, we went on with the show. I’m so glad we did! You might recognize Amanda as a bridesmaids from Lauren & Tyler’s wedding AND Brittany & Brandon’s wedding! We started at 42 & Lawrence in downtown Raleigh. It’s one of my favorite downtown coffee shops! I love the light and airy feel of the shop and love the beans they serve. Larry’s Beans is a roaster local here in Raleigh and this coffee shop is the roaster’s cafe! We brew Larry’s in our house every morning. It was the perfect spot for a coffee date and some casual photos.
After a quick afternoon coffee date, we headed over to downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District. A perfect location for a downtown Raleigh engagement session! We shot outside of the newly built The Dillon and got some sun soaked photos before the sun went back behind big giant fluffy clouds! The clouds were perfect big diffusers and I love how soft the light looks in their images! I am super into the set of images from this location. David is so sweet to Amanda and I think it’s pretty easy to see that in these photos.
To top of the whole session, we went back to Amanda & David’s house for some cooking fun and puppy love from their fur baby Reynolds. The two cooked yummy pasta while sharing a bottle of red wine in their home kitchen while Reynolds watched. We snapped a few front porch shots just before the sky opened up. Amanda & David were kind enough to treat my husband and I to the pasta they cooked once we were done shooting and it was as yummy as it was pretty in photos! I love my job!
