Raleigh Wedding Photographer | Laura & Kevin | Engagement Session

Laura and Kevin met while working at a market research firm in Washington, D.C. What began as a glance across the room at a happy hour turned into coffee breaks together and now…a wedding! Kevin proposed during a family trip in Montana. The two went exploring in Glacier National Park and drove the “Road to the Sun.” Kevin stopped off at St. Mary’s Lake and got down on one knee and asked Laura to marry him. The actual proposal story is sweet but the extra sweet part is that Kevin had been planning this for a long time and had included everyone important in Laura’s life! He asked her Dad, her brother and… asked her best friend for her blessing (adorable)! He even arranged a surprise celebration with her friends when the couple came back from their Montana trip. I love love love proposal stories that involve so much thought and planning. It is so incredibly sweet when not just family but friends are involved too!

We had so much fun during this session. We started off in Georgetown, walking the neighborhood where they live. I love the quaint row homes and beautiful tree lined streets. After walking the neighborhood for a bit we hopped in an Uber and went down to the Lincoln Memorial! We were able to find a sweet little non-crowded spot towards the back of the monument. The light and the weather was so so beautiful, lucky us!

I’m so excited to photograph these two sweethearts saying I do at Finch Chapel at Greensboro College/ The Cadillac Service Garage in downtown Greensboro. I was editing their session and may have cried a little bit noticing the way they look at one another! So so sweet.
