An elegant oasis garden celebration tucked away in one of the largest cities in the world
Amongst the beautiful oasis of trees, flower borders and pastoral lawns, Carol and Rachel’s New York City nuptials at Brooklyn Botanic Garden were simply divine in timing. Hurricane Henri could not stop their city garden party. In the middle of a bustling city, a serene retreat for guests was prepared inside of the iconic glass walled Palm House. The Lily pool terrace was reserved exclusively for their guests to take in the splendor of the terrace laden with custom cocktails, comforting fare, and breathtaking views. Among the elegant white tables and chairs of the Palm House, luxe whimsical centerpieces complimented the room with hints of color as glowing candles traced the insides of the elegant glass-dome. Rachel carried a ravishing display of colors in her lush bouquet organically arranged and hand tied with bold blue silk ribbon. The bride in an elegant Pronovias lace gown, accessorized by a classic white vintage hand fan belonging to her family, and the groom in a classic black tux, exchanged heartfelt vows just ahead of the rain moving in, retreating joyously back down the aisle through the floral hedges and on to their party. The couple honored Carlos’ Venezuelan culture with the wedding tradition of “Hora Loca'' reception dancing. A celebration so colorful and full of cheer, a record breaking hurricane moved in largely unbeknownst to guests. Enamored with the festivity and present within the triumphant celebration before them in the Palm House, it was truly an evening to remember.
