A timeless late-summer New England wedding with panoramic ocean views
Ashley and Andy brought friends and family from all over the world to The Castle Hill Inn for a seaside escape on the Rhode Island coast. The property’s hydrangea-trimmed lawn, iconic view of world-class sailing from the comfort of adirondack chairs and oh-so-New England 19th-century Victorian manse sits on its own 40-acre peninsula that juts into the Atlantic. The women prepared for the day in a quaint cottage overlooking waves crashing on the rugged coastline at the property’s private Grace Kelly Beach while the men prepared in the property’s Chalet. The couple’s custom attire was hand fashioned in New York City. The bride’s Martina Liana gown was custom- built for her by Kleinfeld and the groom’s bespoke custom tailored suit from Michael Andrews. A ceremony rich with family meaning and emotion was held on the lawn’s iconic seaside ceremony arch with panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean and Narragansett Bay. As the evening cooled, cocktail hour, along with a picturesque late-summer crackling fire-pit, boasted wooden ice boxes filled with freshly-shucked oysters and chilled lobster tails. The elegant and enchanting cocktail hour was perfectly paired with passed horderves and trays of bubbling flutes of champagne. Timeless crisp white blossoms, subtle pinks and accents of aged gold greeted guests before an al fresco dinner. Guests spent the evening in the inviting custom sailcloth tented reception, dancing the night away to an exquisite band out of Boston. A classic and joyful New England late summer affair it was indeed!
